LIFEOLOGY® – Episode 179: Overreacting During Quarantine

Since we have been in quarantine for many weeks you may find that you are overreacting either in your thoughts or in your interactions with others. The reason why is because we don’t have the structure we had before, meaning you could go to work, to the gym, or to visit friends. All you can do at this time is see the walls of your house and that continues to feel oppressive.

The workaround is this, you have to incorporate some form of physical movement in your day. You can do this either through social-distancing walking or an actual workout routine.

In psychology, we teach that whatever you think about determines your mood. Your mood determines your body’s response… hence overreacting. When you go for a walk or exercise it purges you from the energy you’ve been storing as you lie around your house.

The more often you incorporate physical movement in your day the more you will respond in a healthy way.
