LIFEOLOGY® | Episode 186 – And Then What…?

Life happens to all of us and we have every right to feel how we want to feel. However, sometimes those reactive feelings turn into reactive behaviors. If you take a moment and ask yourself, “and then what…?” it allows you to stop and think about what the consequences may be for your actions.

For example:

You can reply to your boss in a negative way, and then what?
You can stay out later with your friends, and then what?
You can eat that second piece of pie, and then what?
You can reach out to your ex, and then what?
You can tell that person off, and then what?

If you want to create healthy habits, then use this question to help you focus on those results.

For example:

You can go to bed early so you have the energy to wake up early for that exercise program.
You can smile at that person who seems like she is having a difficult day.
You can choose to walk away from the person who is gaslighting you

When we think beyond the current moment, it gives us insight into what the potential consequences may be.
