Doug Shepherd is an experienced player agent and trusted family advisor who takes the time to build strong personal relationships with his clients and their families. With over 20 years of experience in Professional Hockey, his players receive personal guidance in all of the important decisions they are faced with. 

Certified by the NHLPA, Doug takes a lead role at ASM in NHL Contract Negotiation, Player Marketing & Endorsement opportunities, and Player Development.

A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 2000, Doug received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management. He was on the Dean’s List all 4 years at RPI and was named an NCAA Academic All American in 2000. On the ice, Doug enjoyed a productive and durable career with NCAA Division 1 Engineer. He was named Assistant Captain for the 1999-2000 season where RPI marched all the way to the ECAC Championship Game. Following graduation, Doug went on to play 3 seasons professionally in North America and Europe. 

Doug has a lengthy resume in Player Development. He was an Assistant Coach at the University of Prince Edward Island, a Scout for the AHL’s Manitoba Moose, and a Skating & Development Consultant for the Winnipeg Jets and many Elite NHL players.

In today’s episode, Doug shares his love for hockey and the career pivots he had that helped him live his best life.
