As children we all had ideas of who and what we wanted to become. However, life happened and our plans changed. Our work can become tedious and something that we don’t like. For most people, the dream is to get paid for what you love to do. However, that doesn’t always work for everyone. Making sure you can engage in your hobbies everyday can create a sense of filfillment regardless of life’s circumstances.
David Epstein is a Vancouver actor currently based in Los Angeles. He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to parents Michael and Catherine. David’s first taste of acting came at age 12 when he played the role of Jim Hawkins in a St. George’s School production of Treasure Island. Over the next few years, David remained a stable member of The Saints Players Theatre Company acting in over 10 productions. Notable credits include Ponyboy Curtis in The Outsiders, Linus in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown and Odd Couple where he played Murray. He was awarded a Rigg Scholarship and Dogwood District Scholarship for his achievement and leadership in theatre arts.
In today’s episode, David shares his story of finding his resilience and being tenacious in doing what he loves. He recognized that the better he becomes at his craft the more he enjoys what he loves.
